商家・玉澤家の歴史
玉澤家は佐原の古い商家のひとつとして、太物(綿・糸類)、卸小売商、銀行業、味噌・醤油造など多角経営を行ってきました。
主力業態であった太物卸小売商から、綿・布団販売に注力し、先代までふとん店として長年商売を続けてきましたが、2019年2月、珈琲店に業態を替え、新たなスタートを切りました。
History of merchant Tamazawa
As one of the oldest merchant families in Sawara, the Tamazawa family has been involved in diversified businesses from wholesale and retail of futon goods (cotton and yarn) to banking, to miso and soy sauce production. February 2019, marked a new beginning with Tamazawa starting a coffee shop.
建物とインテリアについて
当店の建物は、先代が1965年にふとん店として建てた鉄筋コンクリート建築を活かし、2019年に珈琲店としてリノベーションしたものです。佐原での鉄筋コンクリート建設としては2件目､現存では最古の建造物であり千葉県内でも最古の部類となります。
About the building and interiors
Our building is a reinforced concrete structure built by our predecessor; a futon store built in 1965. Renovated as a coffee shop in 2019, it is the second reinforced concrete construction in Sawara, and the oldest building in existence. It is also one of the oldest building in Chiba Prefecture.
Inside the store, items used by the Tamazawa family for generations are on display.

明治時代、玉澤銀行で使用されていた金庫。
ダイヤル記号は“イロハニホヘト・・”です。
Safe
A safe used by the Tamazawa Bank in the Meiji era.
The dial symbols are the katakana “イロハニホヘト・・”

1918年製米国SINGER社ミシン。
昭和30年代まで祖父が使用していました。
Sewing Machine
American Singer sewing machine made in 1918.
My grandfather used it until the 1950s.
